FPA Training Opportunities

There are several upcoming training opportunities for floodplain administrators. Click on the title of this post for the full list.

  • E-273 Floodplain Management - JUNE 23- 27, 2014 Albuquerque
    Registration available on NMFMA Web site.

    The FEMA E273 4-day course is coming to NM in June. Jim DeAngelo, our Training and Education Committee Chair has organized the course to be taught by FEMA Region 6 personnel at the URS Corporation offices in Albuquerque. The CFM exam will be proctored on the Friday following the course.

    Mayra Diaz and Dale Hoff will be the instructors for the course. Mayra Diaz is the current Region 6 NFIP Compliance Specialist for the State of NM and the Texas panhandle. She is from Puerto Rico and served as Mitigation Laison between FEMA and Puerto Rico for many years. She has been employed by FEMA since 2006.
    Dale Hoff has worked with the NFIP since 1996 and has 30+ years with Region 6. Dale is a CFM and was the Region 6 NFIP Compliance Specialist for the State of NM for 5 years. Dale has taught many FEMA courses in NM over the years and is looking forward to the visit in June.

  • BCA Training in Gallup, NM June 9-11 - A second Benefit Cost Analysis training will be held in Gallup at the McKinley County Emergency Operations Center - 2215 Boyd Ave - on June 9th - 11th, 2014.
